In short

Hang out, fight monsters, and discover your town’s darkest secrets in Usual June, a third person action game about summer break and the end of the world.

About the game

It was supposed to be a quiet summer break: working odd jobs, hanging out with her new friends, and talking to ghosts. Instead, June is investigating Fen Harbor’s darkest secrets, fighting spectral creatures, and canceling a space-time cataclysm before existence itself breaks down and everything goes quiet forever.

Follow June and her new besties (alive and dead) as they investigate the town’s century-spanning secret history, explore a shattered multi-dimensional continuum, chill at the cemetery, defend themselves against massive monsters from beyond the pale, and deflect their parents’ questions about what they’re doing after they graduate.

Usual June is a third person action adventure game with frantic, flexible combat, a witty cast, and an original conspiracy story that is equal parts terrifying, funny, and sweet.

About Adam Hay

Adam has described his job as ‘making the beep boops’. Adam’s very long list of audio games credits includes: Dreams, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, Dear Esther: Remaster, LEGO Batman… and that’s not even half of them! When not behind the controls of a synth, he can usually be found daydreaming about being up a mountain with a snowboard or trying to learn jazz licks on the guitar. His website is https://www.unusualcadence.co.uk/

About Adam Saltsman

Adam entered the game industry in 2006 as a freelance 3D modeler and released his first notable independent game, Canabalt, in 2009. Since then, Adam helped ship Cave Story+, Hundreds, FEZ, Feist, Panoramical, Night in the Woods, and some other games. His most recent release was Corgispace in 2025 and Overland in 2019. Adam has served as an advisor to the Game Developer's Conference and NYU Game Center's summer incubator program while also mentoring hundreds of independent development projects over 15+ years.

Currently Adam lives and works in Grand Rapids, MI, with Rebekah, their kids, and their dogs, and is leading Finji's upcoming title Usual June and is continuing to support past publishing titles, including Tunic, 868-Back, and Night in the Woods, as well as a few unannounced projects.

Canabalt is a permanent part of the NY Museum of Modern Art's design collection, which never ceases to feel deeply odd.
